OVERVIEW

Size: 482 x 340 mm. ii paper + i parchment + 217 paper + ii paper folios with original ink foliation starting at 11 through to 227 with an original index on the verso side of the parchment folio listing masses; blank folios: 36v,98v-99r, 116v-117r, 124v-125r, 171v-172r,196v-198r & 227v.

Scribe: upwards of 10 hands probably including that of Franchinus Gafurius.

Place and Brief History: Milan- one of four mansucripts copied under the direction of Gafurius (maestro di Cappella 1484-1522) for the Duomo choir.

Date: ca. 1500.

Covers and Decoration: Modern covers of tooled leather, ink drawn calligraphic initials with additional decorations; voice designations as often as not drawn in the left hand margin on the vertical axis.
